Schneiderman tops Rice, Rice Concedes
http://polhudson.lohudblogs.com/2010/09/15/rice-concedes/

After a tight race throughout the evening, Nassau County District Attorney Kathleen Rice just conceded to Manhattan Sen. Eric Schneiderman in the Democratic race for attorney general.

After the three other candidates in the race packed it in earlier in the night, it was down to Rice and Schneiderman for the Democratic nod, the election results showed.

But after midnight—and after more and more results from New York City came in to help Schneiderman—it was clear his lead was quickly becoming insurmountable for Rice, who was initially viewed as a frontrunning candidate in the race.

“I congratulate State Senator Eric Schneiderman for his success tonight and look forward to helping ensure that the Office of the Attorney General stays in Democratic hands,” she said in the statement.
