when Bush was asked about the Comey testimony
And he said he wasnt going to talk about the program, and that it was necessary for the safety of the country, what program was he talking about???

Wasnt the program Comey was testifying about eventually cancelled or tonned down according to Comey???

1. Toned down, certainly not cancelled.
Comey wouldn't testify about what the program was in the open. Gonzales has testified in the past about "the current program" and not about the program that was going on before... which was so bad that even Ashcroft wouldn't go along with it, once Comey found out what was really going on that Ashcroft was approving of blindly.

And yes, the rest of us would really like to know what the hell that program was, but no one's said in public.
