Can we talk some more about masturbation?

I was as happy to see the video of O'Donnell and her church group discussing masturbation as I was creeped out to see those young folks going on and on about it. They seemed to be working as hard to convince themselves as they were anyone else who bothered to listen. Recognizing normal human behavior, that much discussion about sex is just bound to fire them up.

On the face of it, O'Donnell's 'anti-masturbation until married' stance is almost certainly going to paint her as a kook to most reasonable voters. Problem with that is, her views on masturbation aren't any more nutty (or hypocritical) than all of the rest of the nonsense the republicans have chosen to peddle to their constituents about President Obama and the policies and intentions of Democrats. I can just see her doing the Oom Bop Tippy Top and blaming the Devil (and Democrats) for her transgressions.

The republican appeal to their voters these days has rivaled Bush's own Orwellian insistence that he was reforming government while he made his own laws and broke the ones on the books . . . like railing against the Obama economic stimulus legislation while they brag about spending the money their states receive on their constituents.

But there's nothing more entertaining than watching republicans deny their own natures in tepidly distancing themselves from the emerging nominees. Does anyone really believe the party regulars aren't jealous of the Tea Bagger's prurient appeal, and will end up embracing whatever planks of their duplicitous nonsense Baggers are successful with in attracting their Fox-bred voters to the polls?

There's real danger in a campaign of extreme conservative fiddle faddle that most of us laugh off as unappealing and outlandish. The average republican voter these days isn't dealing with a full deck to begin with. Truth-telling about the state of republican policies would only depress them.

The only thing which has motivated their dedicated 40% of national voters is the belief they've been sold that whatever ails or bewitches them is the fault of the Devil or Democrats. It doesn't take much of a fib to convince them of that argument and motivate them to the polls to defend against their own demons (disguised as Democrats).

You can just imagine them whaling away, blaming the evil Democrats with every excited breath . . . much easier than blaming themselves.

Watching Christine's video with her talking about how bad masturbation is with other fanatics all I could see were hypocrites and liars. Masturbation is a natural human behavior, as it is among the animal kingdom. Why is anything that feels good considered evil to fanatical christians?

Whenever I hear about if someone lusts in their heart they have already committed adultery, I figure why just lust, because if its the same 'sin' you might as well take advantage of the lust and have sex with another person, since the 'crimes' are the same according to these religious fanatic's 'god'.
