The DC Democratic primary is effectively the general. The repubs are not even running a candidate, so the Dem winner is, effectively, the mayor. There can be no lamer duck than Fenty. This is what political arrogance gets one.

1. Great idea - fire the one person fixing DC's epicly atrocious schools.
But hey, it must be nice to cheer for kids to be poorly educated and consigned to a life of poverty. You must be proud.

7. Why do I *always* miss the good shit?????
I wish DU would collect all such replies and hold them in a "post of infamy" forum. Instead, I am left to wonder and imagine.

2. I will always be grateful to Mayor Fenty for signing the DC marriage equality bill, though.
Despite any flaws he may have, he was absolutely right to sign that bill.
