Darfur and oil
Yesterday on ABC News there was a report of why the UN lets the genocide to continue in Darfur. And the answer was simple: oil in the Sudan and China's interest in these oil field. Thus, it appears, China has blocked any kind of intervention.

This really angered me. How can China contributed blocks any help? I wish that we, or France, or Britain would unilaterally send troops there.

Nothing has changed since the Nazi Holocaust. No doubt, had Hitler not started a war, no one would have lifted a finger if his "only" crimes were killing Jews and other "undesirables" in Concentration camps.

Here is the ABC report

2. Hell, if Hitler had stopped after taking Austria, Poland, Denmark, Norway,
France, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Holland, and Belgium, the world would have looked the other way. Sure England would have objected but they didn't have the resources to assault Germany on their own and Canada and Australia were not really a powers and the US was firmly neutral.

There would have been a year or two of skirmishes and Italy would probably have been annexed, but that would have basically been the end. Nobody cared about the Jews, Gypsies, Homosexuals, etc. If the Japanese hadn't attacked us and Hitler hadn't attacked Russia, WWII probably wouldn't have happened, and the world would be very, very, different.

Who knows, there is a good possibility that we would have allied with the Nazis against the Soviets.

3. Which is why I kinda feels for Blair
England and the US have joined forces in several operations - except Faulklands? so Blair was trying to do the right thing and it would have been OK had we stopped after the fall of the Iraqi regime. But Blair was sucked in..
