NEXT week would be a good time to resign alberto what with wolfie bailing thursday. |
|
Timing is everything you know, and Friday is news dump day, to resign today wouldn't be prudent, not at this juncture, wait till next week, next Friday for example to spend more time with your growing family. Maybe Monday would be cool too, a nice start to the week, go ahead and face the music and get it over with, this type of thing always feels better when it's over with, trust me on this al.
If you 'surrendered' today after wolfowitz's withering 'defeat' Thursday, it might not look just right for your boss, a double whammy in a 24 hour period, wait just a few more days and you'll be glad you did, we'll all be glad.

1. What's with Thursday? His resignation is effective June 30th. |

2. Yeah but his news dump was Thursday. |
|
I hate when a guy quits effective next month, he should go ahead and leave, he's just tidying up his desk a bit. If alberto resigns, he too may take a month to actually go away, but we'd prefer the same day resignation.

3. Not me. I'd prefer a same day termination. I'd like them to get exactly |
|
what they so richly deserve. Like the rest of us would.

6. The Friday before Memorial Day Weekend sounds like a nice time for a resignation |
|
Everyone will be too busy enjoying themselves to ponder what this means to the Bush Administration.
I say go for it Gonzo!

Bear with me a second...on the day that Gonzo announces his resignation, every news organization on the planet will cover it. They'll tear out their front page, or reschedule their whole newscast, right? So are GWB and Co. setting up for something else to happen that day, something big and really bad, figuring that nobody'll notice because of all the Ag-ag coverage? Maybe this is why Gonzo is hanging on. Whatever the 'other hand' is doing might not be ready just yet.
That and GWB needs time to train his new poodle for the DOJ job.
