Louisiana authorities report oil sightings from Gulf of Mexico spill
Here is a list, released by Louisiana emergency officials, of areas where oil was sighted recently. The list is not a comprehensive tally of areas affected by the Gulf of Mexico oil spill.

***************************

Yesterday near Bay Chaland, Louisiana: FOUR FOOT wide, four inch thick “oil patty” + 100,000s of dead fish = NO TESTING TO SEE IF FROM BP’S OIL (MAPS)

<snip>

On Monday WGNO New Orleans reported “Hundreds of thousands of dead fish at Bayou Chaland.” The report noted that, “oil is visible in some of these pictures...no testing going on to determine if it’s from the oil spill.”

<snip>
* Thursday, heavy tar found 6 to 8 inches under the sand 0.95 mile west of the entrance to Chaland Pass.
* Thursday, heavy tar 30 yards long by 6 feet found 4 inches under the sand 3.2 miles east of the entrance to Chaland Pass.
* Monday, Oil patty, 4 feet in diameter and 4 inches thick, 0.95 miles west of Chaland Pass.

Starfish kill in Barataria Bay occurred just days before massive fishkill — In same area

<snip>
The recent massive fishkill in Plaquemines Parish “came several days after the discovery of starfish kill in nearby Barataria Bay,” WWL reported yesterday.

Just one week after the intial blowout on April 27, “Dead starfish washed ashore on the Chandeleur Islands off the Southeastern coast of Louisiana, home of the Breton National Wildlife Refuge,” PBS reported. Oxygen depletion?

******************************

And we are expected to believe the oil had nothing to do with the fish kill? That all of this death is a natural occurrence unrelated in any way?

And what of the fact that people who have been reporting these events the past few months on Youtube are suddenly getting sick, testing with high levels of toxins in their blood? No relationship between filming tarballs on the beach and getting sick? Or clean-up workers getting sick, some even dying?

And what is happening to everyone else's health? The people living along the Gulf coast are being poisoned! And no one seems to care beyond trying to contain the news! In fact the authorities seem bent on covering it up completely! And BP? When do we start see that company begin to take responsibility? When do we start seeing their executives face prosecution? When do they start spending as much money to correct the problem as they have done trying to hide it?

I suspect the worst is yet to come. Sorry, I feel a little bit emotional about this subject because the guy whose videos I have been watching since June (pensacola gregg), the woman whose podcasts I have been listening to (Kindra Arnesen) are both sick and have tested positive for high levels of toxins. People I know who live in the Gulf area are experiencing symptoms. And nothing is being done. Scientists are impeded from studying samples. Labs are refusing to test at the request of the EPA. Stonewalling. Cover-ups. Denial.

What will it take to get people to open their eyes? Every official should be asked repeatedly: Would you let your children eat the fish or swim in the water? If they can't or won't answer that question, they have no business opening the polluted waters to fishing or recreation. Let the scientists and experts in, people who might be able to find some answers. Quit lying to the public. Quit ignoring the enormity of the situation. Peoples' lives are stake. They deserve to know what the worst case scenario will be.

2. LA Fish and Wildlife blame low tide and high temps--not oil
NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Louisiana's Department of Wildlife and Fisheries says low tide and high temperatures caused low oxygen levels that suffocated huge numbers of fish in Plaquemines Parish.

Spokeswoman Olivia Watkins said Wednesday that department biologists found the fish kill had nothing to do with the Gulf of Mexico oil spill.

The fish were found Friday in Bayou Chaland (shuh-LAHND). Watkins says low tide trapped fish in less than two feet of water. Hot water holds less oxygen than cold water, and heat speeds metabolisms so plants and animals need more oxygen.

Oil, tarballs and sheen all accompany this particular fish kill, yet there is no connection??? Looks to me like oil and corexit drove fish closer to shore where they were doomed. Sheen on top of water depleted oxygen. Methane depleted oxygen. Microbes eating oil depleted oxygen. Yet I am to believe these things had nothing to do with massive fish kills? That baby whales and other deep water marine life suffocate along LA's shores all the time?

4. Sadly, they don't need to sugarcoat it.
Since it's not reported in the CM, and government officials are willing to collude to protect BP's economic interests, BP can just sit back and remain quiet.

5. Are the President and the EPA ignoring this right now?
I think Obama doesn't want to get politically near this issue and that's bad.

From the OP:

"“oil is visible in some of these pictures...no testing going on to determine if it’s from the oil spill.”

NO TESTING? Testing should be mandatory and frequent. BP has to be made to pay. And to clean it up.
