Buddy Dyer tapped for a White house panel?
Anyone know his record? I get him confused with Crotty, who I know has a iffy track record.

President Obama has appointed Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer to an advisory panel on international trade policy.

Dyer is one of 30 appointees to the Advisory Committee for Trade Policy and Negotiations announced by the White House. The committee, which is made up of a broad spectrum of industry, government, labor and environmental representatives, provides guidance on trade matters.

"Orlando is an international destination, and it's developing into a region for international trade," Dyer said. "I'm going to be able to bring the Central Florida perspective and the local government perspective."

Other appointees include New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, FedEx Express chief operating officer Michael Ducker, former Minnesota congressman Bill Frenzel, United Steelworkers president Leo Gerard, Teamsters president James P. Hoffa, Environmental Defense Fund president Fred Krupp, Procter & Gamble Co. chairman and CEO Robert McDonald, McGraw-Hill Co. chairman and CEO Harold McGraw III, and U.S. Steel chairman and CEO John Surma.

The panel is under the supervision of U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk, a Cabinet member who serves as Obama's principal trade advisor.
