Palin still dishing out the dumb to the party faithful

___Former Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin spoke at a gospel music convention in Louisville Thursday.

Several thousand attendees filed into Freedom Hall for the event, which was part of the annual National Quartet Convention. Palin’s speech was mostly a collection of anecdotes about faith, but she occasionally worked in jabs at the media and political commentary.

“Free market principles work. When it comes to national security issues, like Reagan used to say, we win, you lose. Simple things like that. I don’t know why that’s considered extreme, those positions I have and those whom I choose to endorse and help support as we head into these midterms where we can take it back, we can take back our country,” she said. (huh?)

Palin later she believes in God-mandated American Exceptionalism, and implored the audience to stay close to their faith. (scary ignorant)

“It’s in times like these that we must proudly stand up and speak out for what we believe in, not be ashamed of the gospel but remind America that that is what we need,” she said.

6. I've got to dream up a really dumb product to sell these people.
My all time favorite dumb product is "Jesus candles." Supposedly they make your home smell like you're renting a room to the Savior. It's got to be something a person could enjoy while picking their nose, listening to Limpballs and pleasuring themselves over a picture of Christine O'Donnell.

7. She is quickly becoming just another traveling evangelical.
I went to revivals in my youth, because there wasn't much for entertainment in my tiny town. It was fun.

We even had one couple set up housekeeping in town for a while. They ran up their tab at the local grocery/general store and then hightailed it out of there. While they still lived there, I went to visit the woman on a day that she was ill with the flu. She was embarrassed to be seen without makeup. She told me that she didn't even let her husband see her without makeup. She wore the stuff to bed. For them it was all about self aggrandizement.

Palin is like them, but she chose political theater for her stage. I don't think she'd get as much press as she does, except that she's one of the more colorful RepubliCon figures in our time. I wish she would fade, but there are those who find her useful, in a bright shiny object kind of way.

Palin and Rush serve the same cabal. American Idol:Politics. It's all showbiz all the time. Brought to you by Oligarchy International.

At least we're entertained.

13. and the 'free markets' and republican policies have done so much good?
By the way, if Reagan were around now he would be called a liberal by the nutty right wingers, headed by the quitter herself.

Don't kid yourself.

15. Most welcome.
I'm almost certain you will be disappointed in November.

But while you're here, please describe in detail how much better GWB was than our current President. I'd be fascinated to hear all about it. I mean provoking wars that we can't pay for over pretend WMD ... just can't beat that kind of governing, can you?

I hope you can stay and play for a while.

"not be ashamed of the gospel but remind America that that is what we need"

Having read the Gospels numerous times I think that if the right wing lived like Jesus instructed they'd all become liberals!

Every time they quote the Bible it is a verse from the Old Testament.

21. has anybody made a Palin-bot, that just spews out random combinations of buzzwords?
because somebody should, I bet it would do about as good as this...or maybe that's what this entity is, just a poorly-programmed robot capable of simulating rudimentary human speech, and set on "ignorant, jingoistic religious lunatic".

23. True Fact:
Many non-Christian deaf people have had their sight restored simply by listening to Sarah Palin reading the parts of the gospels where Jesus preacheth about patriotism and the United States. These sections are found right between the parts where Jesus asks if he can cast the first stone at an illegal alien (who he could see from right there in his own front door), and where Jesus speaks of the righteous need for larger tax cuts for the super wealthy. We must cling to the knowledge that Jesus discovered America in 1492, though not like Mitt Romney thinks.
