How does Bush* "No Child Left Behind" differ from Kennedy's "No child Left Behind" |
|
Kennedy had an education bill in the works before Bush* came to Power. Bush* needed to pass an education bill in a hurry so he worked with Kennedy on it. They both have their names attached to this bill and it was passed by huge margin in Congress. Is Bush*'s quite different than Kennedy's? What are the differences' and why did Congress approve them?

2. Accountability provisions are a LOT different. Kennedy's were broader, IIRC. Bush's are more specific.
I also remember Bush wanting voucher funding in his bill. But he lost that battle. So any revisions by the repukelicans (and NCLB is due to be renewed this fall) will most likely contain voucher funding. Look for it to be called "opportunity scholarships".
edit: darn typos LOL
