Demands that they ditch the Statue of Liberty costume.

1. Do they have to give up their three-cornered hats festooned with teabags?
That would be a shame.

2. And here since I've long since moved to loose teas....
I was going to send them all my "bags...." Guess I'll always have a Halloween costume (if I can find the straight jacket to go along)

3. Yep. He's been trying to dress up their image - case in point...
When he instructed them not to bring signs to his wannabe-Martin-King speech. He knew the crazy batshit signs wouldn't contrast well with his avalanche of platitudes.

6. Even if they hide their costumes and their misspelled signs, they'll still look crazy. n/t

7. The Craziest Always Get Photographed
I've been in fandom for many years now. When the local news stations do a "human interest" story on the weird sci-fi people, it's always the Klingon with the duct-taped on forehead that gets photographed and winds up in the paper. Someone could have a fantastic costume, but it's always the stupidest moron there that winds up in the paper.

The same thing with Pagans. As much as we admonish people who are giving media interviews to dress professionally, the ones that gather the most attention are the ones that look like they're still stuck in the '60s, or scary-Goths, or wearing too much eyeliner.

People wear those costumes and make signs because they want to stand out. They WANT to get their pictures taken. If they dressed normally, they'd miss their 15 minutes of fame.

8. Rules for teabagger attire:
1. Make sure you don't wash the night before--after all, hygiene has always been for commie fags and libruls.

2. Your shirt MUST be sufficiently racist. "WHERE'S THE BIRTH CERTIFICATE" works, but we DO prefer references to Obama as a monkey or a witch doctor. Remember, you want to get YOUR face plastered on the news as the face of the movement!

3. Signs should make no sense. At all. If they have proper grammar, spelling, or punctuation, we WILL ask you to leave.

4. If a reporter comes up to you and asks you why you're standing outside screaming about taxes that don't apply to you and asking for a birth certificate from the President when none of his 43 predecessors have been asked to do likewise, despite his having passed the background checks the intelligence agencies do on anyone with his clearance, make sure to scream in his/her face about being part of "the librul media". If it's a woman, make sure to shove her or rough her up a bit.

NOTE: If you see a camera, make sure to find the token black guy/Hispanic guy in the crowd and parade him over and over in front of it.

9. Yip, the SwiftBOTs did the same with theirs, telling them to ditch the Nam jungle suits
and to use coats and ties. The ones who were prone to use jungle wear were unlikely to have been Swiftbotters.

10. Smart move ...
They look like fools when they dress up and have misspelled signs for us to laugh at.

Beck had a "no signs" rule at his rally in Washington DC and it sure took a lot of fun out of it for us. Beck may be a buffoon but it's best not to underestimate your enemy.
