I'm gone say it. Jimmy Carter is telling the truth. Teddy though I like him took the first swipe.

2. But this story is beginning to get seriously distorted.
As I understand it EMK opposed any piecemeal approach to health care reform and was holding out for single payer. His regret was that by opposing piecemeal reform nothing was accomplished. In his later years he often said one "shouldn't let the perfect be the enemy of the good." That's good advice for everyone.

3. I'm sure here @ DU some will fall all over themselves beating Carter up in the
Coming days. So I will have to go a shade of ghetto medieval on their asses.

5. I don't think there's any reason to beat up on Carter.
In retrospect, both men were wrong, end of story. But it will become "front page" in the media and take the tax cut issue out of play.

FIXED.

P.S. Jimmy Carter has lived a long, healthy, purposeful life. It's time to let the grudge go. As intelligent a man as he is he needs to know the dynamics of Ted Kennedy's primary challenge.
