News Journey's Ron Williams op-ed piece about O'Donnell: He gets it right to the point
That opening paragraph alone should be a wake-up call to anyone in Delaware thinking of voting for O'Donnell (ok I realize there are 30k nutjobs that will anyays

http://www.delawareonline.com/article/20100916/OPINION05/9160312/1004/OPINION/O+Donnell+is+undeserving+of+the+victory+Del.+voters+bestowed+on+her

O'Donnell is undeserving of the victory Del. voters bestowed on her

Some 30,500 Republicans have embarrassed the dickens out of the state of Delaware by voting for a candidate who has no chance of winning the general election, is a verifiable liar and cheater with no known means of employment other than her campaign money and has nothing to claim as a campaign platform other than whatever the tea party stands for.

And other than not liking the fact that there are such things as incumbents in elective offices, I'm really not sure what tea party people really think about anything.

<<<<<snip>>>>

From what I heard in this campaign, she actually has no real position other than what she's stolen from the tea party people: no cap and trade, overturn Obamacare, no abortions whatsoever, no stem-cell research, blah, blah.

<<<<snip>>>>>

O'Donnell is a U.S. Senate candidate who has no clue. Her first clueless decision was to boycott the state's largest daily newspaper and instead use conservative radio and television to try and pass on her message. So far, that has worked. It won't work in the general election, and even if she continues her childish ways, this paper's news staff will find ways to cover her campaign anyway.

Christine O'Donnell is a fraud and has no business on a statewide ticket of any party. While those 30,500 people who voted for her are as clueless to her politics as she is, hopefully there are a significant number of Democrats and independents who will see Chris Coons as the only legitimate candidate in the race.

1. Recommended.
A lot of folks are not taking O'Donnell seriously, and properly so.

2. I read the O'Donnell got $1,000,000 in online donations on her first day.
Money could make her a viable candidate. Coons may need nation-wide contributuions to compete.

4. Yes but I bet that almost 95% of that money came from outside Delaware
And Coons has already been running ads on Bravo, MSNBC and even Comedy Channel

7. "...this paper's news staff will find ways to cover her campaign anyway." The scary part is,
ahe, like SP and Jan Brewer, thinks that avoiding the unbiased press will work.

They truly are that stupid--and one of them runs an entire stat. :banghead:

8. CNN had a report that a watchdog group is filing a complaint
on Monday and the FEC will open an investigation into her using campaign funds improperly...as in not having a treasurer for 13 months...she handled her own campaign funds..

9. I read some stuff about her personal finances--here I struggle, unemployed at teh moment,
to pay my student loans--and she defaulted? and on a mortgage as well?

And Republicans want her making fiscal policy? Well, cheaters they are so that's right up their alley, I suppose.

10. You should have ran for a political office and claim your house as a HQ
that's what she did. Nice $2000 apartment over in Hockessian. Anyone else making $6k a year would have some run-down beatup rowhome right in center city Wilmington, but she doesn't play by the rules.

And what really galls me is if for some bizarro reason she wins, she'll be set for life financially even if she is booted out in 4 years. She'll have a lifetime pension and healthcare thanks to our 'retirement' system for people elected to office.

12. I saw that on Anderson Cooper last night
Edited on Fri Sep-17-10 11:10 AM by MattyGroves
I thought they did a good job on showing the details of her expenses including having her campaign's former financial advisor on stating that he resigned once he saw what has happening.

Even Ari Fleischer (sp?) acknowledged that she has real issues although he wanted to turn the conversation to "why isn't the media investigating Rangle, etc...". That was pretty much shut down when the other commentators pointed out that the dirt on her was initially released by Republicans.

13. No treasurer! Jayzus H! Having served as a treasurer for a campaign, that blows my mind.
Sweet bippy, they really are a bunch of grifters, aren't they?
