Overheard at the Farmer's Market |
|
I live in a small county, maybe 25,000 registered voters, and 7000 registered Dems. A good friend is running for a state senate seat, and runs one of the local farmer's market. Her opposition is a total Teabagger. She was having problems with a vendor at her market, who is a total Republican. Yesterday, at another Farmer's market, the Republican vendor was discussing politics, and was overheard to say that even though he has had problems with my candidate, he was voting for her because the Republicans "scare the hell out of me".
Later on, another friend who over heard the original conversation repeated it to two well known Republican women. They both said "I'm voting for her too, the Republicans scare me too"
I think this Republican sweep talk is bullshit, at least in Colorado. Normal Republicans are as scared of the teabaggers as we are.

These lunatics are about one swastika away from a Fourth Reich. All they need is to gain a little power and then stage their own version of the burning of the Reichstag. Alas, I think the majority of our population is dumb enough to go along with them. They'll start with the Muslims and Hispanics, but won't stop there.

3. Dumb enough, but not scared enough. |

Another significant terrorist attack could seal the deal, however.

brains out of decisions when they vote. This new republican movement is based on hatred for this one and that one, and we've all seen examples in history of where that takes a country. I've yet to hear any of these people offer any solutions... all they spout is hateful rhetoric. They should just be called the republican mob.
