The Warren Announcement - Anticlimactic or was I off base in thinking she would
say something? (It may be the 'norm' that the appointee doesn't make a statement at the announcement?)

Just grateful Obama did the right thing (and apparently the right way) and that she's there watching our backs!

1. eleny, on another thread said it was the equivalent of him and Warren saying "talk to the hand."
Good assessment--and a good move on the WH part.

3. I think thats right. Even as they were waling away some reporter was
shouting "Why didn't you submit her as your nominee Mr. President?" If they had stayed at that podium for even 15 secods they both would have been hammered.

9. My Point was...
The GOP only like people they can tricked or intimidate into doing their evil deeds.

I do believe Barack Obama pisses the GOP off because he is truly trying to hold the GOP accountable and make improvements. He is much smarter then the GOP wants us to believe.
At the same time he has to keep his weak kneed Dem's in both the Congress and Senate in check. (What a shame, they know how to ride coattails, but they seem to lack backbone)

Because of this appointment,
You can bet the hater will be put in Full attack mood against him. (Hard to believe)

The last thing big business wants is a watchdog like Elizabeth Warren.
Obama will have more hell to pay for appointing her.

But appointment such as these make him my hero.

Hope the help explain And thanks for the welcome.
