I just feel sad about the fact that Elizabeth Warren,
an educated and principled woman who gets a position where she can do tremendous good for this country, has to share our pathetic news coverage with the Republican bimbo offerings like Christine O'Donnell. I am sad.

I hope eventually Elizabeth gets the in depth coverage she deserves because what happened here with her is so important and what happened in the Delaware primary isn't.

1. There's a bright side to it.
It shows Christine, and pretty little ignoramous worried about 1950's values vs a Very intelligent person worried about helping out everyday citizens. The contrast should do us a lot of good.

2. Elizabeth Warren's Appointment
E. Warren's appointment is a profound move on the Presidents part and the timing is spot on as well. The other stories seriously lack substance to say the least.
I empathize, however, the Delaware O'Donnell stories can have all the negative attention it's got coming. The more that side speak the more it confirms and solidify their status...minority.
:)

3. She'll be a public hero within 12 months, book it.
I bet even your republican neighbors will like her. Really, how can anyone not?

4. I just really want to see more of Elizabeth Warren
She's so engaging and so adept at explaining complex topics in an understandable way.

5. I'm offended, too.
The antics of Christine O'Donnell that they're showing make me cringe. IMHO, they're showing this crap because it has entertainment value, like watching Tina Fey playing Sarah Palin... "I can see Russia from my house!" :eyes:

8. I just hope Elizabeth doesn't fly in small airplanes
cause wall street ain't going to like her one bit.
I didn't want to see her go last night on Rachel's show, she is so refreshing to listen to. A rarity, someone who only knows true.

11. Wow!
I didn't think of that until you mentioned it. She should be warned and given SS protection.

9. It really does speak to the degredation of our media.
I don't know how those of you who watch the corporate cable shows manage it. I've stitched together enough small shows to avoid it completely and do not miss it in the least.

10. The problem is that most people don't go to that
trouble for the right information. They just accept what is spoon fed to them through the media no matter how inane or wrong it is.

12. Cleita, have you ever seen "Conversations with History" on UCTV?
It's an interview show that hosts notables, real ones. I just found out that the interviews are posted to the UCTV website! If my television blows up, I'll be good for about a year. :hi:

13. Thanks for the heads up.
I don't get it from my satellite provider but internet is good. I usually watch Amy Goodman and Democracy Now! on my computer as well.

Her accent and voice is just like my mother's. The anniversary of her death thirty three years ago was yesterday. I feel like I was hearing her again.

On edit: I forgot to add that today is Chilean Independence day, their Fourth of July.

18. Or maybe...
It's best that she work under the radar for a while. Sometimes it seems that media coverage isn't always a good thing. Especially since it's often riddled with error and/or smears.
