O'Donnell cancels two national TV spots
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/09/18/AR2010091801512.html

Christine O'Donnell, the tea party darling whose Republican primary win in Delaware's Senate race shocked the GOP, has canceled her appearances on two national news shows.

O'Donnell had been set to appear on "Face the Nation" on CBS and "Fox News Sunday."

Campaign spokeswoman Diane Banister told The Associated Press on Saturday that O'Donnell canceled so she could attend previously scheduled events, including a Republican picnic Sunday in Delaware's Sussex County, where she received key support.

Banister says O'Donnell would love to appear on the shows in the future.

1. Sure...
If that was the reason then why did she accept the invitation to be on air in the first place? She has a closet full of dirty laundry she doesn't want aired, and everyday it seems like more and more things come out about her "questionable" actions. This lady may not make it to the election, and if you ask me some of the dirt that is being dug up is being let out to the public by the "GOP"! Karl didn't want her in the first place, and he may be working in the background to make sure she isn't the on running come November!

4. I guess they do learn from watching others' experiences

Evidently Sarah's gotcha interview with Katie Curic, and Rand Paul's gotcha interview with Rachel Maddow and Sharron Angle's gotcha videos of her backside as she runs from the gotcha media are teaching the newbies to avoid the gotcha situtations. Fox, of course don't do the gotcha thing with teabaggers so naturally, fox gets the exclusive interviews.

7. The same way she won this time
Obviously most voters stayed home in Delaware if she won with 30,000 votes. They're counting on Democratic voter disinterest and even Republican disinterest and they're counting on the teabagger vote.

That's why in this mid term election I'm voting. Falling into apathy just gives them more power.

8. She cancelled her Fox News appearance, too?
Hon, they'll walk you right through it. You just have to nod, look pretty and say God Bless Real America a few times.

9. decision was solely a scheduling issue

Campaign spokeswoman Diana Banister cited scheduling conflicts and said O'Donnell needed to return to Delaware for commitments to church events and afternoon picnic with Republicans in a key county where she has solid backing.

(snip)
"On Saturday morning, O'Donnell called us and said: 'I got triple-booked. I had been invited to go to church and then a picnic. I have to keep my priorities to Delaware voters,'" Ryan said. "The invitation to have her appear on the show remains open."

Banister said the decision was solely a scheduling issue and not because O'Donnell wasn't prepared to go on the programs.

However, the cancellations reflect a campaign of about six staffers trying to keep up after being thrust into the national spotlight. Banister said many requests are pouring in and the campaign needs a scheduler and additional aides.
