Do you know who you're voting for in the waaaay down ticket races? |
|
Do you? Is that name on the ballot for the positions where party affiliation is not stated someone you know? Have you checked on who is running for school board? For Orphan's Court? For any of the oddball sounding jobs at the bottom of the ballot?
I voted earlier this week in our primary. I had done a little research. I had checked. A neighbor is running for the state legislature and is a(n actual) liberal like us. Our school board primary was a vote for six candidates on a slate of twelve. No party registration needed or stated. I compiled my list (8 Dems and 4 repubs to choose from).
On election day, I forgot my damned list. I just found out that one of the people I voted for (from my ever worsening memory) was a repub. Fortunately not a bad one, but a repub none the less.

1. I had a local website's list of progressives pulled up on my iPhone during our primary. |

I plan to do the same in November.
I am worried about how many teabaggers will get elected downticket this Fall.

2. That's always a pet project of mine. |

It really got started years ago because of stealth Conservatives running for school board.
It's irksome because often times There's little info about people running For say judge.

I'm a malcontent with a very active fan club.
I love them right back, though. They're such sweet folks.

I'm beginning to see some tv ads, that carefully don't mention party. We seem to have some Rs who are carefully distancing themselves from their party, if my read of the propaganda is correct.
I don't even know who will be on my ballot. Other than a few tv ads, and I don't know if they are running for an office I can vote for, I've seen and heard nothing locally.
