Democratic candidates are expected to be generally supportive of progressive ideals...
...and to support Democrats who want them in for political office.

That is the necessary corollary to the oft-mentioned clause in the DU Rules, to deflect those who try to beat the rest of us over the head with them.

...although he might cast a vote in favor of the resolution to honor Ethan Dickeybird for that excellent lacrosse goal in New Haven last month.

6. Though I don't care for his vote on several issues,
I understand that his overall record is vastly different than Republicans in office.
