Third World America
The Huffington Post, for all it's negatives and positives, has a really very good section called "Third World America" that appears to be documenting the increasing class disparity / loss of wealth (decline) of America's middle class.

It's the kind of in-depth journalism that newspapers of just 20 years ago used to report.

I'd recommend looking at it if you are concerned about liberal/Progressive values .
You can find it here:

Well worth your time, IMHO.

1. it would be a return to a third world america,
where the mafia would be a ruling class powered by dirt cheap poverty labor (which no longer receives welfare)like in most of the rest of the countries in the americas.

Once we pull the rug out from under our infrastructure and social safety nets, we'll be exposed to much more political and social turmoil.

Getting rid of poverty and investments in public infrastructure helped make this country prosperous.

2. That is the very thing my father said they wanted.
My father said that in 1964 three of his friend went to the Repuke national convention. They were three middle-class hardworking union members living in Kansas. They came back and told my father that the Republicans were going to turn the U.S. a into third world country. From that day on, my father never voted Republican again.

I can imagine what those three guys saw at the '64 convention. How sad.

3. Well of course - that's what elitists do
on every Continent they've done this for centuries - Africa, South America, Asia...the rich Brits, French, Spanish, Portgegese...on and on...why would we be different...the rich feel entitled to use all they can afford including "human resources"...

8. I think we will wind up like Victorian-era England
Complete with child labor. When two incomes aren't enough to keep us out of slum housing, you can always rent the kids out to the non-union coal mines.
