Seriously it's not the Witch stuff that has O'Donnell running scared from the press
It's the fact that any journalist with an ounce of credibility is going to ask her about her campaign debt fraud.

Trust me, she could have done those talk shows and still hit whatever Church she attends where their bible strategically omits the 9th commandment from their 10 commandment list.

1. Remember, the way to have an effect with this sort of thing
is to bring out the worst stuff once it's too late for a candidate to get their name taken off the ballot. Also, if you bring out the worst stuff right upfront, then the stuff afterward would be anticlimactic.

The stuff Bill Maher is holding back on must be worse.

2. Maybe, but
She booked the Sunday shows in full fraud daylight but backed off as soon as Bill Maher showed the witchcraft story. Now we can only hear crickets.

But I bet the Sunday shows talk about the witchcraft 'dabble' all day.

Frankly, I think her friends played a trick on her and that the extent of her 'dabbling' was that one experience. They're probably laughing their heads off right now.

7. Honestly that Witchcraft rates with the rest of her sexual history (and lack thereof)
because for us to use that witchcraft against her is saying she's unfit simply because she was promiscuous in college and the other crazy choices me made. I doubt even Chris Coons would touch the witchcraft story to use against her.

CREW is going to file an FEC investigation on Monday into her campaign fraud. No one really cared what she did when she was a 2-bit campaign joke. But now that she's made the big league she will have to answer for her fraud. And this is not a witchhunt into her past choices but a very very serious character flaw as to whether or not this woman is qualified to hold any elected position. If she is going to defraud her campaign contributors then what will she do in DC when she is given taxpayer dollars?

3. I can't totally discount the fear of witchcraft by would-be voters.
Witchcraft is something taken very seriously by religious fundamentalists. They equate it with "Rosemary's Baby", Satan, covens, human sacrifice, drinking blood, the Devil's mark, casting spells, battles against Jesus, Hell, B-movies. And they'd burn witches again if the Constitution let them.

Witchcraft for the non-religious fundamentalists is a problem as it detracts from making the republican candidate appear serious and viable. They would have settled for a WASP or just a run-of-the-mill Protestant. They don't want to finance or vote for someone equated with Halloween.

18. She got 'Saved' so she is probably MORE popular for this
the blood of lamb washed her clean or however they like to put it so she is better than ever in their eyes just like bristol palin got a pass on sex outside of wedlock because she 'Chose Life' and then preached abstinence.

5. And here we thought Alvin Greene was an embarassment
Hell Alvin was cleared of any financial questions- he actually saved his money living with his parents

O'Donnell is a train wreck personally and professionally. I agree with you it is not about masturbation or witchcraft it is that she grifted contributors for her living expenses and STILL didn't pay her bills. BTW- she has run for the Senate 3 times in the last 5 years.

The other obvious comparison for her is that she is what it would look like if Michelle Malkin ran for pbulic office....well Malkin probably has her s^*t together better than O'Donnell.

12. "she has run for the Senate 3 times in the last 5 years" has that been her only income? interesting
If these allegations of misappropriation, etc. are correct, it makes one pause, and ask "What is her moral compass? What is her thought process regarding fiscal responsibility?" She sounds like a loose cannon that does not bother following laws. It also makes one wonder if she has always lived her life this way.

6. I agree...in part
I think she has had a bit of an eye opening experience of the stuff that can be found out about her, with just a little effort...and realized her squeeky clean image cannot be upheld.

The witchcraft issue will be just one of many things that will (and already has)come to light. So long as does the Sharon Angel thang and avoid any questions, it will give all of her supporters some miniscule plausablilty to manufacture excuses...and of course those supporters will and already have run with that ability. It's a play on the addage, and I'm paraphrasing here, "some should keep their mouths shut and let some think they are stupid, rather than open it and remove all doubt".

14. I figured it wasn't the media she was hiding out from, it was the fundies.
Now that she's outed herself as a witch they might try to burn her at the stake.

15. I love it! The Tea Baggers walked up to the plate and hit a homerun!
Her debt fraud is just typical Repuke standard fair and we should all make sure everyone with a braincell knows that. I can see why the GOP is running scared, they are on the borderline while the crazies of their party run things!

That sucking sound? The GOPs chances in November.
