Ok, he is so disdainful to me that it is hard to know whether it is his foul attitudes and policies, or the man himself that makes me so....



So, here's my question. While I would agree with those who would maintain that looks should not influence ones opinion, nonetheless, I have to admit his bizarre "Not quite a beard", but far worse than 5 0'clock shaddow kind of thing growing on his face bugs me (and I don't normally mind facial hair). What exactly is that? Is this the new thing? I mean I remember the hip one-day's growth kind of thing --that along with the sockless loafers--drove Don Johnson's Miami Vice persona. But this seems quite different. I think he looks sort of repulsive... It is sort of reminiscent of Dick Nixon's debate with JFK, where his "shadow" on tv made him appear quite unpleasant or even evil....

Anyone else like to stoop down to my trivial level today and comment? ;)

5. Some men can get away with it. He's not one of 'em. It's like Brad Pitt trying to look good wearing

a twisted beard. He's too white bread and he just can't pull it off like a Johnny Depp type can.

It makes them (Miller and Pitt)look dirty and creepy. Yuck.

8. It's all part of the phony "I'm just a guy you want to have a

beer with" schtick that the Rethugs have been pulling for a while - look at Scott Brown in his pickup in Mass,., followed by Mittens driving around in HIS pickup now. They're MANLY MEN, not the effete latte-drinking Volvo-driving wusses they tell their followers the Democrats are. Don't know how successful this trick is, but they love it.
