You don't like the way people talk about the present leaders?

You don't like the way they define the political reality?

You think they are harming our chances to maintain power?

You think some people are not on the same side as you?

You think their speech is bad for the country?

If you can't say something good, it is better to say nothing?

Or do you have no problem with what people say because you can counter anything they say with logic and rational thoughts?

Or perhaps you believe these folks should be someplace else since they don't agree with us?

3. Technically, there is no 'freedom of speech' @ DU.. and rightly so.

For all intents and purposes, it is 'private property'. Freedom of speech applies only to public spaces, and can only be infringed by the government.

The fact that DU is as open as it is- that's a good thing, IMHO. It lets us take a pulse of what's going on in our little corner of the 'net. Even the occasional troll / disruptor give us an insight into what the opposition is up to.

7. I would categorize the stifling of free speech as being the

government deciding political discussion boards are against the law. What you're describing is disagreeing with someone else on a moderated discussion board. Describing that as "stifling free speech" is pure melodrama.
