New development from naval pilot cousin who was to ship out in September (Iran) |
|
To recap - his ship was to head to region in September, but that they should expect and be prepared to move out earlier.
Mr blm just spoke with him and he said their September ship out has been moved back to November.
To me it sounds like BushInc thinks they need more time to SELL war with Iran.

1. If they're trying to sell it they ain't doing a very good job. |
|
Most of their jabbering these days seems to be weak attempts at evading blame for Iraq. I can't remember the last time one of the usual suspects gave a lectern-pounding speech about Iran.

2. I think Bushco may be too wounded now to pull it off. |

At least, I hope so.

...and unchallenged by House of Corporate Puppets, it is not a question of IF, but WHEN we launch a massive assault against Iran.

9. who would you define "the enemy" as? |
|
To me it seems as if BushCo treats the American people as the enemy. We had no reason to invade Iraq. We have no reason to invade Iran. If nothing else, after the lies that went into the war in Iraq, the American people should have some notice about what country our chimperor in chief decides to invade next.... WITH OUR MONEY!

Sorry, but this is not WW II... and if we go to war against Iran, then we are having other problems
by the way, the Iranians know this well... but what army are you going to use?
If you believe this will stay at the level of air attacks, I have a bridge to sell you
Oh what is the other FAMOUS military dictum...
Oh yes.
"No plan survives contact with the enemy."
Oh and if you are so concerned about OpSec, the correct term, and truly see Iran as an enemy... what are you doing out of uniform?

17. It was not a secret and anyone around Virginia area bases could hear this info. |

And do you think Iran and other countries can't chart our ship movements? How fast do you think those ships go?

18. What they may be doing is trying to stretch the deployments out longer |
|
Edited on Fri May-18-07 03:54 PM by Marrah_G
Even the Navy is using reservists and IRRs. My brother just deployed with 450 navy reservists at the end of March. They are going to be on the ground and not on ships though. If he is deploying 2 months late it probably means the battlegroup they are replacing is staying 2 months longer.
