Be grateful: Jerry Garcia's former Nicasio home for sale
If you are a Grateful Dead fan - and in the Bay Area, there should be a lot of you - you'll be interested to know that the former home of the grand poobah himself, Jerry Garcia, is up for sale.
Located up in rural Marin County, this palatial estate in Nicasio is asking just shy of $4 million dollars. The home, which sits on 11 acres and has 300 degree views of Mt. Tam and out to the Berkeley skyline, was the last place Jerry owned before his passing in 1995. The current owner is noted on the listing as having close ties with the remaining members of the band and
"...has discovered many interesting stories that surround the time Jerry lived here."
Unfortunately, none of the stories are mentioned in the listing but I'm sure one can imagine the events that have been hosted at the house.
