AS planned by the President.

However, it's all that fucking money, AFTER the initial $250,000, that they were allowed to leech off of everyone else though Bush's tax theft for the wealthy that's going the way of the dinosaur.

Whiners like Ben Stein are nothing but greedy fucksticks.

1. But they'll have to pay an extra 3 cents on every dollar over $250,000!
It's the crime of the century, I tells ya!

4. Did Obama mentioned that those over $250k would get the tax cuts below $250K?

6. You'll be pleased to know that Pres. Obama made a point to say exactly that.
Edited on Mon Sep-20-10 02:59 PM by ClarkUSA
He even interrupted a question in mid-stream to emphasize this fact and then went on to spend a large amount of time explaining why "extending the Bush tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires averaging $100K" are irresponsible because it would add $700 billion to the deficit over 10 years. He added that he was advocating a position against his own financial interests.

The pro-business audience gave him loud applause after he was done. :D

7. Now if only the other Democrats would copy his message.
I've been saying it for a while now. Repeating it over and over on this board and to other people I know.

I am going to as well. In fact, I'm going to print out the entire text of his comments and give them to my OFA group as talking points. We GOTV every week and we get questions about this all the time in the wealthier areas.

10. It is important for people to know how their income is taxed.
There are 7 different tax brackets. The lowest is 0%. Which everyone has income that is not taxed.

As an example... the first approximately $8k of taxable income is taxed at 10% then the next approximately $25k of income is taxed at 15%. This example is for a single person with $40k of gross income. The effective tax rate would be about 10.5%. Many probably believe that if they are in the 15% tax bracket that all of their income is taxed at 15%.

5. Good point. So we are talking about them wanting a special tax cut, really.
They get what everyone else gets, but they want more.
