GOP nominee for WV U.S. Senate seat stands by opposition to minimum wage laws

Rand Paul and the others may hid from the media and play coy with their wingnutty views, but billionaire teabagger and WV media mogul John Raese makes no secret of his desire to turn America into one big sweatshop.

Raese, for instance, opposes the minimum wage law, arguing the market is the best decider of wages. Manchin has used this position against Raese in a recent attack ad.

"The minimum wage is not what got the country in trouble. That shows you the biggest difference he and I have on everything," Manchin said Sunday.

Democratic nominee and West Virginia Governor oe Manchin had made an issue of Raese's position in his latest ads.

The spot then hits Raese on three topics, including his support for abandoning minimum wage laws.

That's an unpopular position that Raese's campaign did not back away from Tuesday. He argues that the market can fairly determine wages.

"John does not support the minimum wage - and the jobless rate in this country is a perfect example of why," said campaign manager Jim Dornan. "He's for a fair wage, and a fair wage is determined by the market."

National Dems take note: It Might be worth pointing out that the NRSC and Dick Morris are working in WV on behalf of this extremist nut.

Manchin's counter-attack is working. Raese lost a few points over the past week.

And that's coming from Rasmussen, so you know the governor's lead is, in reality, much bigger.
