Glenn Beck's psychosis is just plain pathetic |
|
Just caught his latest show while channel surfing.
You know how mentally ill people write on walls and use pictures and magazine articles like a kind of crazy wallpaper? Well, he's doing that to his own studio.
Nobody, and I mean NOBODY on TV is as crazy as Beck.
The man is Howard Beale incarnate.

1. He's crazy like a Faux. He's playing the fool and laughing all the way to the bank. |
|
Did you see the video of him faking tears for a photo shoot?
NGU.

2. I think that he's psychotic anyway |
|
I don't think the fact that he's greedy and a grifter makes it less so.
The boy is not right in the head.

12. I completely agree with you |
|
It's hard to watch a person go psychotic in real time and on TV. I avoid him for that reason (and many others).

3. If you've ever seen "Angel" the TV series (Buffy spinoff) |
|
He reminds a bit of Fred- at least when Angel first finds her in that alternate dimension writing on the cave walls (and later in the hotel too)
But she was rather brilliant. Beck is just.........weird!!! Olbermann once had a great "take-down" on Beck's conspiracy theory about Rockefeller Center on his show one night last September that was friggin' hysterical.

5. He acts all crazy and upset |
|
to try to get convince his minions that there are reasons to be as hysterical as he is. He's a combination of Elmer Gantry and The Boy Who cried wolf!
People watch him and think, "Glenn must have good reason to be so upset. Look at the tears, the charts! He's on TV so he must know more than me! OMG! OMG! Be afraid!"

6. I've suspected for many years... |
|
...that Rupert Murdoch saw Network when it came out in 1976 and had an epiphany. It just took him many years to find his perfect Howard Beale. Will this movie end the same way?

7. Howard Beale incarnate? Nah. |
|
He knows exactly what he's doing, and so do the people he works for. The only way to defeat him is to do it in the minds of the people who watch his show. Calling him crazy and pathetic isn't going to change anyone's mind.

8. I'm with Olbermann on this one. Lonesome Rhodes. |
|
If he didn't look so much like a Cabbage Patch Kid he'd be even further along than he is now, I fear.

10. What he does is sophisticated and worth talking about. |
|
"Crazy" is part of the equation, and he is roughly aiming for a Howard Beale.
