4. Not for me personally, however...
I do see overall improvement and I do believe we're better off than we were a year ago.

I fail to see the "logic" that some hold... the thought that things should be markedly better now for all is pretty absurd. It took a hell of a long time to fuck it all up... I bet it takes twice that time to un-fuck it. And if Republicans manage to take back their POWER (not country, power), it will take a hell of a lot longer.

5. No but 'getting better'
I lost my full time job, was unemployed for a year and was taken back on in my old job, except part time now (not full time anymore). Plus I haven't had a COLA, so after inflation I am earning less.

6. Truthfully, we didn't experience the recession
We're very lucky--we had decent jobs and kept them, which enabled us to put our two boys through state colleges without student loans. We're doing well for the moment.

12. No. In fact my industry is looking at the worst winter since 1992.
My local had 500+ members out of work over the last winter, this winter we are looking at over 1,000. Construction has completely dried up. The project I am on right now is wrapping in a couple of months and we're looking at a big layoff this coming friday. I'm hoping not to be a part of it but hard work and dedication only gets you so far. Things could get ugly in the Slayer household.
