Why do so many Democrats say they like Andy Card???

I can't think of any names, but I know I have heard Dems praise him.

I never bought his nice, honest, man of honor image. ANYONE who can make up lies for Bush is clearly a slimy, lying, criminal and the latest on him and Gonzo trying to get a sick man to sign off on something clearly un-American and illegal just proves my initial gut feeling about him!

Andy Card is an ASS!

I even made it known at the GM plant where I use to work. hint hint Card is a former GM VP.

I don't recall anyone being nice about Card on this board.

3. He was in the Mass. state legislature in the late '70s, early 80's
and ran once for Governor. I think he was seen as one of those typical back slapping pols. I never had the sense that he was the evil Rovian type but when you lay down with dogs....

4. Wasn't he Poppy's FEMA guy or something?
I remember him making some lame *joke* about his name in Florida after Hurricane Andrew ... I'm sure that really comforted the people in Homestead ...

ASS.

6. He bounced Carter from the JPII delegation and took his place.
A non-confirmed aide bouncing a president because "the delegation was too big."
