unhappycamper note: Since the ‘Pentagon’ has ‘requested’ that I only post one paragraph from articles on Army Times, and Airforce Times, I’ve decided to give ya’ll an unhappycamper summary of the article and a link to the OP. To keep in that same (new) tradition, I will also do the same for articles on Navy Times, Marine Corps Times, stripes.com and military.com.To keep in that same (new) tradition, I will also do the same for for articles on Navy Times, Marine Corps Times, stripes.com and military.com.

(This space reserved for a legally correct snark dump.) It sure is beginning to smell like fascism.

unhappycamper summary of this article: Hey Dude, are you suggesting that the United States get out of the war bidness? If so, I'm with you.

If you're suggesting that Vietnam veterans are 'on the dole' or 'waiting for free compensation', why is that? Why are you willing to consign at least a million Vietnam veterans to the dust bin of history? You know Dow Chemical made AO. You know that AO has forever changed (and not in a good way) both Vietnamese and Americans exposed to it. You know AO is responsible for Hodgkin's disease, soft-tissue cancers and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Do you think AO is 'safe' for things like hearts and lungs?

Many Vietnam veterans have already died as a result of Agent Orange poisoning. Do you want us to wait until we are all dead?

Fuck you, Richard Burr.

RALEIGH, N.C. — The leading Republican on the Senate Veterans' Affairs Committee said Monday that he also has concerns about a proposal that would spend billions of dollars on disability compensation for Vietnam veterans who get heart disease.

of him and hold the Senator in great esteem. His respect for his constituents and his desire to make this country a better place for all of our citzens is admirable. :eyes: :sarcasm:

8. Chickenhawk POS
Too many AO deaths, it would be better if all of Congress would smell that evil shit one time. It smells like nothing else and you cannot forget it. Let Monsanto pay for the medical care. They were the war profiteers.

12. Makes perfect sense to chickenhawks.
During the Vietnam War, the special ones worth protecting (like Dick Cheney) were given deferments. The rest, well....who cares....draft `em. Agent Orange? What Agent Orange?
