Reporter: CNN Refused to Air Footage of US War Crime in Iraq |
|
From Democracy Now! A prominent Australian war correspondent has revealed the news giant CNN refused to air footage of an apparent war crime by US troops in Iraq. In an interview with the Australian network ABC, Michael Ware says he witnessed a US soldier fatally shooting an Iraqi teenager in the back of the head. The boy then lay dying for twenty minutes. Ware says CNN decided the footage was too graphic for broadcast. He’s been unable to release it because CNN owns the tapes.Democracy Now!CNN contact link: http://www.cnn.com/feedback/

4. No one should be allowed to show footage of American atrocities... |
|

... in Iraq or Afghanistan.
It enrages the inhabitants of those unhappy lands and thus puts the safety of our troops at risk.
The natives are unaware of the atrocities, understand , and SENDING the troops to fight foreign wars of conquest DOES NOT put said troops at risk.
Just showng footage to domestic American television audiences puts them at risk.
So: shhhhh!

7. There ARE no other channels. |
|
At least I can't find any.
Somebody clue me in. Where can I get independent ( i.e. real) news on tv or radio.... exclusive of the internet?

14. What made it a "war crime"? |
|
The only information they give is he was shot in the back of the head. I'm not defending the guy. Based on what they gave we can neither defend, nor condemn him.
