and,yes...I pointed out Bush's czars...Reminded him of how I never saw his complaints then...maybe because my kid was in Iraq three times while Bush was in office.

Most of the time I agree with what Paul Perry has to say about our government, but sometimes he is “too nice.” He needs to be more like Andy Rooney. This time I again agree with Paul, but not so nicely. If it looks like a snake, slithers like a snake, and hisses like a snake, it must be a snake. The use of “czars” just skirts the peoples’ ability through the Senate to keep administration policies and direction transparent to the American people. If you got something to hide, it must be crooked or you don’t trust the populace to receive your actions favorably.

In the old days, there weren’t czars when the administration needed expert advice. There were “volunteer commissions” like the “Grace Commission” or the “Warren Commission,” a collection of experts that volunteered their time to advise the American people of critical issues and events as needed.

The use of czars is no more than individual “pay-off” for prior campaign support through “influence peddling.” Since Congress is the only branch of government that can “appropriate” money, how does the President pay for all these czars anyway? Let’s take care of that lucrative loop-hole in November by voting a true change.
