Republicans do not want soldiers to have Constitutional Rights.
Now the whole country knows Republicans think petty political games matter more than supporting our troops......

2. The military operates under the uniform code of military justice.
While in the military you lose your Constitutional rights. You only have the UCMJ

4. Toby Keith fans won't care
IMHO. I'll use anything I can to convince my neighbors the Republicans don't give a flying cheese about America's soldiers. - Because they don't.

3. "petty political games matter more than supporting our troops"
This needs repeated... over and over... they scream about how we need to support our troops, then they refuse to give them enough money.

7. imo, that's a poor argument
Here's why. Soldiers (and members of the armed forces other than the Army) give up tons of constitutional rights. They can be criminally sanctioned by the govt for having sex outside marriage (in addition to same sex relationships), for various things they say that would be constitutionally protected OUTSIDE the military, they cannot do various things to their body (tattoos in certain areas like the face) and can be sanctioned for doing so, etc. etc. etc. Women are not allowed to serve in open combat roles.

Republican opposition to allowing gays to serve openly is very wrong. But your argument has no validity, since it's already acccepted that people give up a lot of their rights when they join the military.
