DCCC Transfers $1.5 Million to State Parties in August

By John McArdle | September 21, 2010

We scoured the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee's August fundraising report, which was filed Monday, and found a few interesting nuggets:

* Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) transfered $150,000 to the committee from her personal campaign committee on August 31. The Speaker has now given the DCCC about $1.4 from her Nancy Pelosi for Congress committee this cycle.

*Other leaders who transferred $150,000 to the DCCC in August were DCCC Chairman Chris Van Hollen (Md.) and House Majority Whip Jim Clyburn (S.C.). Rep. Joe Crowley (N.Y.) transferred $125,000 to the DCCC from his campaign committee while House Energy and Commerce Chairman moved $100,000 to the party committee last month.

*The DCCC made nearly $1.5 million in transfers to state Democratic party committees during the month of August. Among the top receivers were the Ohio Democratic Party, which received about $196,000 from the DCCC, the Arizona Democratic Party, which received about $142,000 in transfers and the Democratic Executive Committee of Florida, which received $132,000 in transfers.
