notice how republicans are handling lieberkowski:
http://www.cnn.com/2010/POLITICS/09/22/murkowski.committee.stripped/index.html?hpt=T1

(CNN) -- Senate Republicans are expected on Wednesday to strip Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski of her post as ranking Republican on the Senate Energy Committee.

Republicans say they will vote to elect an acting ranking member and then the full GOP conference will ratify the vote.

Republicans will also vote to elect a replacement for Murkowski in the leadership.

She resigned Friday as vice chair of the Senate GOP conference.

After losing to Republican Joe Miller in the GOP primary last Tuesday, Murkowski decided to run as a write-in candidate in November against Miller and Scott McAdams, the Democratic nominee.

remind me again why we didn't give lieberman the same treatment after he rejected the decision of connecticut's democratic voters and ran against the winner of the democratic primary?

1. Does that mean the Republicans don't expect to gain control of the Senate?
Or they won't get 60 to prevent a filibuster?

2. Not that it was the right thing to do
but the Dems at the time figured that Libershithead was going to win in CT. He didn't have to write in because CT has no sore-loser law meaning that he was easily able to petition his name onto the ballot. They wanted him in the caucus and were/are willing to give him anything he wants.

Murkowski is an idiot that, like Lieberman, feels entitled to her spot in the Senate but her chances of actually winning are pretty slim.

4. While Murkowski might not win but I would wager she will beat Miller handily.

She very well could actually win it, because Alaska is a very Red state and she is very well liked here. I am just hoping Miller attracts just enough votes to let the Democrat win it. Alaska is about 40-45 percent Democratic. Murkowski could win but it will be a difficult chore for her. Another Republican is considering following in her footsteps in the election for Governor. The person that took over after Palin bailed out won the Primary but the person he defeated says because Murkowski has changed things he is also considering a write in campaign..The Democrat running is actually a fairly strong contender and would most likely pull it off if that were to happen. Hell he could pull it off anyway but having two Republicans running against him would really help matters..I am keeping my fingers crossed..
