Sam Seder to be on Mike Malloy tonight -- possible announcement...
Edited on Fri May-18-07 04:15 PM by jgraz
Just listening to Mike's podcast from last night and he's dropping some big, cryptic hints about Sam Seder. Sam is coming on in the second hour and, according to Mike, he "may have some sort of announcement."

Hmmmm....

Live stream here: http://www.novamradio.com/stream.php Malloy starts @ 6pm PDT

1. Ooooooh!
I'm already a Founders Club member of NovaM, and if what I think is going to happen tonight happens tonight, I'll have a second show I have to podcast every day!

2. I gotta say, my week really sucks without Sam's show
There's just nothing else that makes me feel as hopeful about all the shit that's going on. I love Mike but his show is not about solutions, it's about rage. A balance with Sam would be awesome.

3. Sam won't be joining Nova M, sadly
Edited on Fri May-18-07 04:31 PM by CaseyBuck
Mike explicitly said that near the end of last night's show (probably because of a non-compete clause with AAR; it would be a conflict of interest to have a weekday show on one network and a weekend show on another network).

But Mike could perhaps be referring to Marc Maron or even someone else as one of the surprises they have coming up.

5. I don't think it's likely that Sam's current contract
would keep him from leaving for a better gig. I hope not, anyways.

6. He's said explicitely that he has a non-exclusive contract with AAR

7. Good.
Maybe he got a job with MSNBC. Maybe Comedy Central. Maybe he's Al Gore's campaign manager.

8. right, a conflict with a weekday show on one and a weekend on another.
so goodbye weekend show, goodbye conflict.

it would be great if they had both of the absolute best of aar together again.

4. He later retracted those big, cryptic hints,
so... who knows.

I'll be there.

12. Mainly talking about his upcoming Sunday show
and how screwed up AAR management was. Alluded to how the new direction is away from liberal politics and more to 'mainstream'.
