3. My dog (Jason Altmire, PA) is bluer than your dog
His latest cause is to sign on to extend the tax break for the wealthiest, even though less than 1% of his constituents are millionaires, and less than 3 percent even make $200,000-250,000. But hey, Jason has been well-paid by his fatcat lobbyist friends and has a huge campaign fund. In meeting with long time Democratic activists for GOTV phone banking and canvassing, not one person wants to volunteer for Jason. We will work for our candidates for Governor and Senator and any other Dem. congressional candidate. We will hold our noses and vote for him. But, man are we looking forward to having a real
Democrat run against him in the next primary.
Jason seems to be channeling the late, great Rick Santorum.

Barrow says Congress should extend Bush tax cuts
Democratic congressman speaks out on same day GOP opponent urges him to do so
Posted: September 17, 2010 - 12:19am | Updated: September 17, 2010 - 6:14am

By Larry Peterson
On the same day his Republican foe prodded him on the issue, U.S. Rep. John Barrow said Congress should renew the Bush tax cuts.

On Wednesday, the Savannah lawmaker joined 30 Democratic colleagues in urging extension of the cuts, due to expire Dec. 31.

That plunged Barrow into the middle of an election-year tug of war over whether to exclude upper-income people from the cuts.

The letter Barrow signed acknowledges the cuts have helped people in the two highest income brackets - 2 percent to 3 percent of taxpayers - the most.

But it also says they are responsible for 25 percent of national consumer spending.

"As 70 percent of our economy is driven by consumer spending, this is not the time to jeopardize future growth," it added.

That's my rep- voted against HCR, against stimulus, in favor of war and bushco.
