So, who to support? A chlid rapist (R) or an R so crazy that she was kicked out
--of the state legislature's Republican caucus? This is what the Top Two primary gives you in a red district. The Dems had the option of endorsing no one, after all.

http://horsesass.org/?p=29902

The 31st officially became the stupidest, most pathetic and most completely dysfunctional legislative district in Washington state yesterday, as three “prominent” Democrats (you know, about as prominent as a Democrat can be in cousin-marryin’ country) issued a press release announcing their endorsement of too-crazy-even-for-the-Republican-caucus state Sen. Pam Roach. Really.

So what prompted Yvonne Ward, Karen Willard and state Rep. Chris Hurst to make such a “painful and necessary” decision? Well, Sen. Roach may in fact be a gun-toting, mouth-foaming, flower-avenging wingnut, but unlike her general election challenger, fellow Republican Matt Richardson, at least she doesn’t, um, “sexually assault” young girls.

1. Wow R's sure know how to vet their people before sending them out on stage
Just when you think that the latest crazy wing nut candidate is scraping the bottom of the bowl out comes one even crazier then the last, really a crazy woman vs a child molester and people are unsure of which one they want? This is a clear case of none of the above.

"Senator Roach and her husband, Jim, have been married for 33 years. They have five grown children, one of whom (Dan Roach) is a member of the Washington House of Representatives. Another, Steven, is a convicted drug trafficker who was released from jail under suspicious circumstances.<1>"

I think a no-endorsement would have been acceptable.

Typical Mor(m)on *rhymes with Kucinich*.

3. Red state politics is just an entirely different game. That kind of crazy doesn't seem
that bizarre to this Dem-within-a-redder-county-within-a--red-state.

You gotta live the insane politics to appreciate it.

4. Actually, this is mostly blue King County in WA State
However, there are still some pretty red bits, and this one overlaps with a particularly reactionary part of Pierce County.
