Poll question: Which is Worse? |
|
When Speaker Pelosi finally reaches the vote count she needs to pass (or realizes it wouldn't pass either way) and lets Dems in swing (or even Republican-leaning :scared:) districts vote no...
Or when Leader Reid does the same thing?

1. I'm still trying to figure out how my vote counts but Lincoln's doesn't. |

7. Who said our votes count? |
|
This isn't "woe is me" cynicism, I just mean very few people live in House districts that are seriously contested, and until the past couple of years Senate seats rarely were either.

9. Oh, I hear that. Mike Moore pointed out that we have a higher return rate |
|
than the Politburo did. lol
But strategizing in that way can get people out of the habit of cohesion, which can become a problem when you happen to need it.

2. If the vote count is there, or not, I don't see how either is evil |
|
You run the campaign you have to run in the district you're running in. As long as it's not a deciding vote I don't really care, personally.

11. Isn't it the voters fault if this works |
|
and not the Dem leaders in Congress.

12. "Blame the voters": a strategy for electoral success |
|
I suppose you could say it's the voters' "fault" for being conservative. I don't know how helpful that is.

5. They play for the other team |

We tend to know exactly how they will vote. NO. ALWAYS NO.

10. So .... they should have been on the field. |
|
We do know exactly where they stand and how they vote.
Little else matters.

8. The Senate is frustrating |
|
It has always been frustrating. Its purpose is to be frustrating. If it weren't as frustrating as it is, George W. Bush would have fucked up the country even more than he did.
