Huckabee's insurance story
He says denial of heath insurance for pre-existing conditions would be like asking to buy insurance today when the house burned down yesterday. That is not correct. It is more like:
a) Your house burned down, you build a new house, and you can't buy insurance because the old one burned down.
b) Your house burned down, you buy a different house somewhere else, and you can't buy insurance because your previous house burned down.
c) You buy a house that was built after a previous house had burned down, and you can't buy insurance.

Ol' Huckabee couldn't mention those cases though, because the insurance companies do all of those things (and more) on property and casualty insurance. Not good for him to highlight these kind of business practices right now.

1. Sounds like the insurance companies have become death panels.
Where is Lady Blah Blah now?

2. They have always been so...
This is yet another example of RW projection... they accuse those who disagree with the very things they themselves are doing.

4. They always have been and the new HCR law does little to change that.

3. Here's Another One
You can't get insurance because your grandparents home burned down. That makes you prone for a house burning too!

5. Huckabee is just another FAKE Christian.
No practicing Christian would equate a possession to a human being. Is there even one right winger who actually practices his faith? Just one?

8. You buy insurance, two years later your house burns down
Insurance company says the fire started three years ago and rejects claim.
