Based on how Obama is prosecuting Bush*'s Wars, what do you think he would have done |
|
if he had been President on 9-11? Do you think we would have troops in both Iraq and Afghanistan now? Would we have attacked anybody or would we have tried to use different tactics such as criminal prosecutions..I do believe the USA would never have tortured anyone while Obama was President but I am not at all sure we wouldn't have attacked someone somewhere..

1. Well a dem president cannot be soft on communism, crime, drugs, or terra nor |
|
weak on national defense, else pubs would label and smear: Dems, over the decades, have let pubs paint them into a no-win RW-labeled corner which makes America and most Americans the losers on all accounts.

2. I think we would have worked with countries in the ME and the rest of the world |
|
to clamp down on those who funded, trauned, and equipped the hijackers.
Maybe I'm naive, but I don't think that Obama's first reaction would be war--beacuse he would have acted upon "Osama Bin Laden Determined to Strike Against US."

You really think Obama would have not used the opportunity of terror to begin a crusade of bigger government, more missiles and Halliburton payments?

8. No, I don't believe he would have. I'm able to discern differences in |
|
intellect, political savvy, and wisdom between Obama and Bush.
I realize that isn't a popular sentiment here, but oh, well.

You think the headlines on Aug. 7, 2001, would have been about a message from the president that a great "attack using airplanes as weapons" was about to happen and everyone should be on the look out, if bush was as honest as Obama?

6. Instead we squandered massive amounts of international good will... |

...killed countless, suffered our ouw casualties, created a pipeline for new terrorists and made the world less safe. Oh, and some guys got way richer.

4. Barack Obama's father wasn't insulted, you see. |
|
So, there would have been no Iraq war. As for Afghanistan, I'm not sure what he might have done there. In any case, that was not the situation, and President Obama inherited a couple of sucky wars. He has to deal with them in a very complicated world and not screw up in a way that destabilizes that part of the world for decades.
Very difficult choices for the President. I'm sure glad I'm not in his shoes.
