Here's The GOP's "Pledge To America"

They might as well have called it the "Teabagger Manifesto." If you needed further proof that the GOP is firmly in the clutches of the lunatics, just read the first couple of page. Patriots! Self-appointed elites! Traditional marriage! Hurl!

Here's how it starts:

A PLEDGE TO AMERICA

America is more than a country.

America is an idea – an idea that free people can govern themselves, that government’s powers are derived from
the consent of the governed, that each of us is endowed by their Creator with the unalienable rights to life,
liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. America is the belief that any man or woman can – given economic,
political, and religious liberty – advance themselves, their families, and the common good.

America is an inspiration to those who yearn to be free and have the ability and the dignity to determine their own destiny.

Whenever the agenda of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to institute a new governing agenda and set a different course.

These first principles were proclaimed in the Declaration of Independence, enshrined in the Constitution, and have endured through hard sacrifice and commitment by generations of Americans.

In a self-governing society, the only bulwark against the power of the state is the consent of the governed, and regarding the policies of the current government, the governed do not consent.

An unchecked executive, a compliant legislature, and an overreaching judiciary have combined to thwart the will of the people and overturn their votes and their values, striking down long-standing laws and institutions and scorning the deepest beliefs of the American people.

An arrogant and out-of-touch government of self-appointed elites makes decisions, issues mandates, and enacts laws without accepting or requesting the input of the many. Rising joblessness, crushing debt, and a polarizing political environment are fraying the bonds among our people and blurring our sense of national purpose...

1. Bushwa & codswollop
Prettified, perfumed phrases that mean nothing when they are uttered by the likes of that pack of fascists.

2. As they said during the (First) Depression,
BUSHWA

:puke:

and damn all of their mortal souls to Hell for not giving a good g-d-damn about their unchecked executive, compliant legislature, and overreaching judiciary from 2000 - 2008.

(much less 1980-1992)

All of THEIR vermin caused the mess the country is in. All of the "Imperial Presidency" toadies who burrowed into their rats' nest after Nixon boarded the helicopter, to build a NEW Imperial Presidency. And the Head Toady appointing himself Sock Puppet Master, to usher in their New American Century.

Like an abusive parent or spouse, this vermin claims to "love" that which they abuse most egregiously. See how this vermin uses our Constitution as the cloak to conceal the tyranny and abrogation of civil rights that they lust for:

"enacts laws without accepting or requesting the input of the many."
"thwart the will of the people and overturn their votes"

They dream of a theocracy ruled by an ancient book (THEIR ancient book, not the other one that they deface and burn), and rights and law determined by Tyranny Of The Many.

Our founders would kick these rabble-rousers to the curb.

4. This line
"Rising joblessness, crushing debt, and a polarizing political environment are fraying the bonds..." is all the gop's fault.
