I was told here on DU that Obama's associations with the anti-gay clergy were necessary to prove his 'bona fides' with the churches. Now I see what they meant by that. There is a visibly strong bona fides on display here, I did not know that was the 'tradition' in question, but as long as the bona fides are proven....
