For Republicans people are a form of property |
|
and PRIVATE property is sacred.
But here is the rub... this is a major strain in US History going back to the good ol' days of chattel... white, black... don't matter. To many of our Republicans who no longer hide it, we are chattel.
Now the problem is, they no longer have to hide it. That is scary. But to them we should go back to the good ol' days of Indentured Servitude and child labor... that is what we are facing.
Family Values convention... that was so damn fucking obvious it is not even funny. Problem is not even now, a lot of those middle class murikans who vote for them realize this, or believe they are part of the ownership class (nice dog whistle there Dubya... )

I've come to believe that the Republican ruling class, or would-be ruling class, regards ordinary working-class people as little more than farm animals, to be maintained as cheaply as possible and exploited for profit.

the more I read into the institution of indenture and white slavery the more I see parallels in their philosophy... actually farm animals would fare better.
