Pretty obvious to me Christine O'Donnell does not WANT to win. |
|
She wants to pocket some of the donations (as usual) and then get an easy Fox News gig, maybe get an EZ ghost-written book deal, a la Mama Grizz.
How is going to church picnics for supporters supposed to give her even the slightest chance in a Dem state? Oh and the "local media can't get through to her?" WHY DON'T THEY EMAIL THE LOCAL MEDIA AND SET SOME STUFF UP? She's just completely full of it.
That's why her lesbian sister was campaigning with her during the primaries knowing she had an anti-gay agenda, she knows she's not going to win anyway so who cares. (The sister is another piece of work and obviously has her me me mine ethic going too.) Winning the primaries WAS the win. It made her prize TeaBaguette! CHA CHING! Who needs the Senate?
She's going to do the easiest, ass kissiest freeper type events, phone it in, then give a "heartfelt" concession speech, pull the Palin Martyr routine & then cry all the way to the bank. And the idiots will be all "God bless you!" and buy whatever wingnut rehash book she pretends to write.
The good thing is all the millions they are sending is money that's not going to a more viable Repuke.

If she wins she'll probably follow Quitter's footsteps and quit-so-she-won't-be-a-lame-duck or whatever. Like they have any interest in governing! They just want in on the depressing amount of money to be made from conned-servative idiots.

3. She doesn't strike me as the sort of person who has a plan. |
|
I think she just decided to run, and now it's no fun anymore, so she's just trying to survive until election day. I'm sure she'll take whatever gig she can get after that, too. Fox anchor, Republican Babe of the Month Centerfold, High Priestess of the Conservative Wiccan Church of Raynd... whatever, dude.

8. Actually I have a feeling she only entered the race so she could get more free money |
|
as from everything she's said and done her entire life is based on getting money without having to really work for it. The SALT crap was all about saying outlandish things to get a free ride from her dim witted listeners, maybe she believes or maybe she don't but she made it sound like she was sincere and really concerned about those poor people she was trying to save. Look around and you can see how well it works for people like Pat Robertson, to his followers he is a sincere kind caring person that only wants whats best for his sheep. The liberals with their never ending search for knowledge and truth who arm themselves with facts don't hear or see that message from Pat because they are using logic instead of emotions when they listen to snake sells men.
That is why the right want to destroy education, the educated tend to make decisions based on logic and crap like trickle down economics are illogical because logic tells them that the rich cares very little for those not as rich or richer then themselves and evidence shows the rich care very little about those they employee, lots of evidence in fact. Where the liberals see rich giving to charity as the rich seeking to get something in return, the conservatives see the rich being kind and caring. Why the difference? Because the liberal understands the greed the rich display in every day actions, like the rich business guy giving away $10 sneakers to the poor, yet every day the businessman sells those same shoes at $25. The conservative on the other hand see this same behavior and comes up thinking the businessman gave poor kids something for nothing, they really don't get that it is not something for nothing as the reality is the businessman got more business because he gave away those shoes, 9 times out of 10 the give aways are on old stock or soon to be discontinued stock, so his act of charity gained him more money then it cost.

She's going for the Senate seat.
All this attention is something that she neither expected nor foresaw. Most of the hoopla is over what she said in the past--when she DIDN'T get this kind of attention for it at the time.
I'm sure the lucrative possibilities have occurred to her by now, but she's not about to torpedo her campaign to go for the gold. Losing the Senate race may benefit her, but not by her design.

13. I think she's just plain crazy. Tapes of her saying very bizarre things years ago |
|
I think she believes in mice with human brains and her "witch sex". She has no sense of reality. I'm just glad she is running in Delaware and not in some of the other states and that she has a decent opponent.

Well from now on she'll be noticed and I think she doesn't care if most people think she's nuts....as long as her target aud keeps forking out the bucks.

15. A New "Star" Is Hatched... |
|
I doubt Christina the Virgin Witch will go away anytime too soon. Her craziness is what the corporate media dreams about. The more coy she plays with them the more turned on they get. She'll play 'em like a fiddle...keeping 'em at bay until she loses (and blames them for her loss) and then grifting like there's no tomorrow. While we won't hear her debate or speak on issues now, my bets are once the election is over, we won't be rid of her. There'll be the book and the talk show and the PAC. Yep, grifting within the GOTB party is a land office business.

21. she's ran for this seat on numerous occasions and lost |
|
so she's either a glutton for punishment or this is the "long con" (nod to Lost).
But your point has some merit. I expect the same of Palin when she "runs" for President in 2012. She'll create an exploratory committee, run for a few weeks, release a book and laugh all the way to the bank.

24. She ran for this seat on numerous occasions COUNTING on losing |
|
Basically she's hitting up the same people for money as the TV evangelicals, Jan and Paul type people....endlessly gullible. It's a good con! Now that she's a conned-servative "star" she essentially won't have to work any more, just show up on Fox spouting nonsense once in a while.

22. I don't think so - I think she might have a personality disorder |
|
She is very very charming and very much a loose cannon- which is why Maher wanted her on his show. A 41 year old woman with virtually no employment history or achievement with her education is a red flag. As a communications major with her looks, she could as Palin did have been a telepromter reading person on the news. But that would have required her getting her degree. She went 4 years to a private, expensive, but not particularly competitive college - and then didn't get her degree. Some said because she needed to complete some requirement as well as pay her bill. The amount owed was not high - you would think that she would have worked out something with the college - to pay it off in less than 2 decades! What she did is not normal behavior. Then throw in that at 41, it is not clear she has had a serious relationship.
