Thom Hartmann is reporting that the Wisconsin Grandsons of Liberty plan to challenge |
voters in November and slow the voting process. Is this illegal? Can the ACLU stop this abuse before it starts? I got a lot of flack before when I posted that we might need the national guard at the polls. I never insinuated armed oversight, just some major legal oversight to the craziness being planned by the tea baggers and any other interrupters of the democratic process. Voters need to be made aware of what they might face.

1. So where the fuck are the Dem's that will get tossed by these tactics? |
What? They can't do anything but hide in their spidie holes and let the pigs roll over them? They can't introduce legislation to outlaw this shit? Fucking Wimps! Or do they somehow benefit?

2. Dunno about Wisconsin, but state laws often say only pollwatchers... |
authorized by the parties can challenge voters.
It's an interesting threat, but I suspect it's only a threat.

3. During the 2008 election, I was told that Republican-party authorized poll watchers were challenging |
voters in the dorms at the University of Illinois. So it's entirely possible, if there's overlap between the Grandsons of Liberty and the Republican Party, that they can make good on this threat.
