Republicans seem to want a perpetual 2008 (the year the economy collapsed)

In their new "Pledge" they suggest freezing spending at 2008 levels. They are also fighting tooth and nail to make permanent the tax structure that was in place in 2008.




Making it clear to everyone that this is what they say they want, and what they want is for the year that the economy collapsed to be their model for the future.




If we can't beat them over the head with this right through the election then maybe we deserve to lose.



*Edit to add*

The current administration lowered the deficit 8% in it's first full fiscal year. Going back to '08 would be for increasing the deficit.
