I've never considered Facebook to be a very reliable application, now I have proof. Google, for instance, has never been down this long and this severely.

I'm sure they'll blame it on something external, but don't be fooled.

33. The problem is that it's taking a lot of other sites with it

because of those stupid "link to FB" widgets that are popping up like mushrooms all over the place. When you load a page, the widget links to FB, and when FB is down, the page stalls.

P'tooey. There's no way to get away from that stupid site, even if you've been alarmed enough by its Swiss Cheese security to avoid it like the plague.

36. Yep, I knew that "log in via FB" stuff was going to mean trouble.

I don't really care if FB fails, but this is a good lesson about not putting all your eggs in one basket.
