19. Yep - they stopped their momentum dead in the tracks. They needed to go into this election fighting |
|
for the middle class.
Dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb donkeys!

we nominally keep the Senate, until some Blue Dogs decide to defect, or just simply votes with them on pretty much everything.

I was listening to a story on NPR today about independent voters.
The story stated that the largest poll ever conducted of likely independent voters during the midterm elections are almost overwhelming going to vote republican. The most striking part of the survey was the question "how close of attention are you paying to current candidates". 48% of independent voters stated that they were paying close to very close attention, the largest percentage ever recorded.
On the flip side; Democrats had one of the lowest percentages ever recorded.

I'm an Independent, and even though I'm not happy with the Dems on a lot of things, I will vote a straight Dem ticket, with the notable exception of Alvin Greene. I can't bring myself to vote for him and certainly won't vote for the odious Jim DeMint. The thought of the GOP regaining power actually makes me physically ill. I guess I'll write in Victor Rawl for Senate. He's the Dem who should have won the primary.

to do their best to lose. No fight in them at all and that is what people want to see.

14. No, now that the Dems. put off the vote on taxes until after the election. |
|
They could have held the vote on extending tax cuts for the middle class and looked better than now.

16. Last week I would've said yes. This week both the dems and gop seem to be grasping for the lever |
|
controlling the momentum. Both sides seem to be making errors in executing the correct moves to gain the momentum that will carry into election season. My hope is that the dems can regain their focus, control a strong and consistent message, and grab the reigns before the midterms. They have the opportunity, it's just a matter of whether or not they choose to do the right things.
So, until I have something more to judge from, I'm unsure.
